The SKIES 8.1

In the early 21st century, a massive solar activity nearly led to the extinction of humanity. It destroyed energy sources and infrastructure, causing a regression in human civilization. The game is set more than 150 years after these catastrophic events, where the Earth resembles a vast desert. Players must survive in these hostile conditions and work together with other survivors to rebuild the lost civilization.

The adventure begins with creating the player's first character. Currently, the options are limited to male characters only. The character customization allows players to modify various body parts and facial features by simply clicking and dragging with the mouse. However, the customization options are currently limited to these aspects.

The game world, which players can freely explore, currently spans 12km2, but the developers plan to gradually expand it to a massive 200km2. The character development system is also impressive, offering players the freedom to allocate points to different statistics and skills that determine their playstyle. The game provides a high degree of freedom in terms of activities, allowing players to craft goods in factories, engage in trading, or even establish their own businesses. The choice is entirely up to the player.

As with any MMO game, The SKIES features an engaging PvP system, where players can engage in combat as lone wolves or join forces with other players in clans.

At its current development stage, The SKIES may discourage some players due to the abundance of bugs. It is hard to deny that the game was released prematurely. Nevertheless, it is still worth trying out and providing feedback to the developers to contribute to the maximum playability of the final product.
